I'm writing this post under a fan in our dining room. It's 34 degrees outside and I'm wearing shorts and a singlet top. It feels like it's been hot every day since my son started school two weeks ago (except day 3 when it poured all morning!). AfterI pick him up from school and then his brother from preschool, we're all hot, bothered and tired. I really do love summer but it's about this time of year when I'm over the humidity and the thought of a cool Autumn breeze is very pleasant indeed.
So I am rather taken by all the autumn-winter fashion hitting the stores. I like the idea of wearing jeans and a long cardigan on a cold morning rather than selecting something that's going to cause the least amount of sweat!Read more link text
Last year I compiled a list of tips to help mums feel a little more trendy in their everyday. These were just simple and inexpensive ideas to consider adding to an outfit. My eldest son starts school tomorrow. It's a big day. A big week. A big year. I'm definitely feeling the full range of emotions - happy, proud, nervous, anxious and excited. If I do get an opportunity to go actual shopping on a weekend by myself then I have a lovely time but these days, online shopping is just so good and so much easier.
I love online shopping for clothes of course but I also buy things like kids clothes, home stuff, toys, books, gifts and office stuff (buying printer ink cartridges online has changed my life). When I put together my Moodboards for this blog, I cover a lot of online kilometres. While most of it is just "research" there are definitely times when I stumble across an amazing sale or item of clothing and so I do progress to the checkout.
Therefore I feel rather well qualified when it comes to rating online stores and the overall experience of each. Today I thought I'd share my favourite three in no particular order.Read more link text
Last week I featured some ideas for what to wear to work during the summer months. Today, I'm switching to casual. Perhaps you work part time, you're a stay at home mum or you have an abundance of casual BBQs to attend at this time of year. Even if you dress casually 97% of time, it's fun to incorporate some variety into your outfits.Read more link text
