I took a little blogging break over Christmas and New Year. Three weeks of no blog posts, no Facebook and no Instagram. It's less than four weeks until Christmas so it's time to get serious about Christmas shopping. Conveniently (not), my local Westfield is undergoing some major renovations and after I recently spent 28 minutes on a Sunday morning trying to get a parking spot, I've vowed to avoid the place until the new year.

Over the past five or six years I have accumulated quite a shell collection. It started from the hours spent at the beach when our boys were super young and they weren't overly interested in the water. We'd pretty much just chase seagulls and collect shells. These days we don't spend as much time shell gazing but I still keep a keen eye out for the perfect piece of pumice, shell or seaglass.Read more link text
On the weekend I managed to get out of the house on my own for a few hours of what was supposed to be Christmas shopping. I did have some success in making a dent in the present list however I ended up with a few unplanned
goodies necessities for myself.
