We spent the weekend on the NSW South Coast. It was lovely but I needed jeans and a jumper on both Saturday and Sunday!! It rained for most of Saturday and the wind blew a gale on Sunday. Not what I expected with only 21 days until summer. However I have been hearing about warmer weather in the northern parts and I know it will get warm again soon so today I’m sharing some ideas for casual outfits on hot days featuring the easy combo of shorts and a singlet.
I love a shorts and singlet combo. So many options and you’re always going to be cool and comfortable. Unless you wear those denim shorts which don’t cover your bum properly. Then you won’t be comfy. I guarantee it.
I think the key thing is to choose shorts which you feel good in. They need to fit well. They shouldn’t be too tight around the waist or ride up when you walk. I think it’s worth investing in good quality shorts. It’s much better to own two pairs of shorts you absolutely love rather than a large selection from which you only wear two because the others don’t fit right!
Once you get the shorts right, then the singlet top can be the fun part. Multiple ownership is recommended
