Put your hand up if you love shopping for swimwear? Hmm no not me either.
I do get a little bit excited at the start of summer when I see all the pretty prints and bright colours but once I get in the change room, I really don’t enjoy the process. I get too hot pulling swimmers on and off, feel too cramped in the small space and often the lighting is not great so I end up feeling completely over it.
Well today I’m pleased to share the solution to our problems!! Sirens Swimwear has created a new way to shop for swimwear and I recently trialled the process. Their “Ship to Shop” feature allows you to choose FIVE styles from their online store, pay for one and have them all delivered to your doorstep. You then try them all on in the comfort and privacy of your own home, work out what you like and then just send the rest back. So simple and so stress free!! Here’s how it works:
STEP 1: Visit Sirens Swimwear and select the Ship to Shop page. Add the Ship to Shop Swimwear option to your cart.
I managed to enjoy a spot of swimwear shopping amidst the Play Dough chaos.
STEP 2: Browse their online store and add FIVE swimsuits to your cart. This is the fun bit. Five is a great number to work with. I chose a few suits which I knew suited my shape and then I had fun choosing a few more which I thought would be a bit different for me.
These were my picks:
TOP LEFT: Grace in Lights of Vegas Navy
BOTTOM LEFT: Tiffany in aqua pin stripe
CENTRE: Melody in navy spot
TOP RIGHT: Lizzie in navy spot
BOTTOM RIGHT: Miranda in midnight black
And then just two days later, a delightful bundle arrived. It also included the post satchel and returns form for when you need to return the items you don’t wish to keep.
STEP 3: Try try try
The range of Sirens Swimmers is absolutely beautiful. They’re designed to fit and flatter women of all sizes and the fabric is superb. The ruched tummy panel, shapewear lining and fully constructed cups make you feel so well supported and smooth! The vintage inspired designs are cute, feminine and suit women with curves.
I’m normally suited to bikini styles however their full piece designs are like nothing I’ve worn before! These are swimmers of serious quality and you do feel good when something has been designed so well. Check out their website which showcases all the designs on a range of gorgeous models. Here are a few of the styles on me:
Wearing the Miranda vintage swimsuit in midnight black – this suit has a longer front panel which covers the tops of your thighs. Cape is from Cotton On.
This one is the Grace vintage swimsuit in Lights of Vegas Navy. Having a co-model definitely made this backyard photoshoot much more fun!
STEP 4: Select what you want to keep, exchange and / or return.
I did involve my husband in the final decision and his choice was the one that I felt the best in too. I chose the Lizzie vintage swimsuit in navy spot and summer sky and I can’t tell you how comfortable it is. I’m wearing the size 8 and I’m 164cm tall with size A cup. The sweetheart neck line and padded cups suit my small chest and I’ve also conducted the drying test after a swim in my parents’ pool. Even with the shapewear lining, the suit still dried quickly which I love.
STEP 5: Complete the returns form and send back the swimmers you wish to exchange or return.
If the thought of going to the shops to try on swimmers does not appeal to you, I highly recommend a trip to the Sirens Swimwear online store. Choosing the styles and then trying them on in the comfort of my own home made the experience much less stressful and actually thoroughly enjoyable.
If you’d like to try the Sirens Ship to Shop experience, I have a free shipping code for you. Just enter “beachstylemum” at the checkout. Valid until 15th December 2015.
When was the last time you went swimwear shopping? How was it? Would you try this type of swimwear shopping?
