I love putting the Monday Moodboards together. It’s a great way to keep up to date with what’s newly arrived in the stores of the brands I love. Sometimes it can be a little tricky if I haven’t tried a particular style or trend. I just have to go with what I think will work. Today however, I am fully confident in my selections. Mum duty style is my area of expertise!
These four outfits are based on pieces I love to wear and styles I find comfortable, practical and stylish. The ultimate trifecta for mum duty! These are things I consider when dressing / shopping for mum duty clothes:
- I need to move easily, chase kids, pick up kids, carry bags, sit, stand and kneel
- I need to be comfortable (I hate to be constantly rearranging a waistline, itching my neck or feeling restricted)
- If I get dirty, stained or smeared, it needs to be easy to wash and dry
- It needs to go with lots of my other casual clothes
- I need to be able to easily adjust my outfit if I get too hot or cold
These four outfits tick all the above boxes. Mum duty does not have to mean trackies or leggings or jeans every day. It’s fun to mix things up with a few options. Start with two or three types of pants and then mix and match your tops to suit. Add a few fun accessories and you’re done!
