I’ve been doing some spring cleaning of my clothes lately. I’m trying to be good by planning my spring purchases on clearly identified fashion gaps. During this exercise, I discovered that I do have some spring options that are still wearable for the coming months mainly due to the fact that I own three pairs of fantastic trans-seasonal pants! These pants have had such a workout over past springs and autumns but they just keep delivering on style and comfort so I thought I’d share my tried and tested Top 3 Pants for Spring.
The chambray pants: I bought this pair from Seed about two years ago and they have been amazing. They go with almost anything (particularly stripes), they wash well and I don’t even iron them! I just pop them on and the creases work themselves out after 20 minutes or so. Seed currently have a very similar pair available here for $99.95. I’m also very excited by my new gold Harriet sandals (available from Country Road here for $79.95). The comfort factor is ridiculous!
The linen pants: Another pair that after 162 washes still look and feel as good as new. These can be worn for casual occasions and dressed up too which I’m trying to demonstrate in these pics. Again, don’t tell my mother but I don’t iron them! Not a snitch. This pastel pink pair was from Witchery a few years ago. I’ve found some similar styles: Next linen blend chino trousers for $33 and ASOS skinny twill pants for $59.30.
The cropped jeans: Sometimes referred to as the ankle grazer, these jeans are super comfy, super stretchy and again, very versatile. Mine are from Topshop (here are some very similar ones for £40 – I’m not sure of the current exchange rate sorry). This style is everywhere at the moment. Country Road do a mid rise crop denim jean for $119 and Target have vintage skinny jeans for $30. I always like the good ole jeans and T-shirt combo. Chuck on a cardi or kimono for another layer or a straw hat for the sun and you’re done!
My fourth pick would be a pair of printed pants which are very much a style of the season at the moment. I’ve also seen lots of leopard print pants prowling around Instagram and they’re fabulous too. Might have to add these to my spring fashion gaps list Stay tuned.
